Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order
Looking back on the 2020 pandemic, I realize that I added unnecessary weight of fear, anxiety, and control on top of an experience I had to go through, causing me to be overly stressed for more than two years. Historically, pandemics like this have subsided on their own within 2-3 years, and modern science and technology have advanced far beyond what they used to be. However, I was not aware of these facts and continued to watch global news that propagated fear.
The world is currently undergoing a shift. YouTube is full of news manipulating fear, suggesting that America will completely fail, the dollar will crash, and everyone will lose their money, similar to during the pandemic. This kind of news encourages fraudulent investments.
Since winning World War II, the United States has enjoyed being the leading superpower. However, the wealth gap within the country has grown significantly, and most people are buried in credit card debt. The political left and right are distinctly divided. The education system and healthcare, both basic rights, have long collapsed. Additionally, prisons are so overcrowded that private prisons have become rampant. Drug and gun-related incidents are frequent. Meanwhile, China has seen significant economic growth over the past 20 years.
It's natural for the balance of power to shift. The Netherlands was once on top, followed by Britain. According to Ray Dalio's prediction, China is next in line to become the leader after the United States. Though China still has many areas to improve, in another 20 years, it will be a completely different China. Deep down, I still root for America, dreaming of the American Dream, hoping and praying that the immigrants who came chasing it will save the country. :-)
This time, I calmly accept the changes in the world and hope that many people will spend these turbulent times well, caring for themselves and those around them, loving and understanding each other. I share this video with these thoughts in mind.
I highly recommend reading the book to fully grasp its depth. Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order Amazon link, You can also rent it for free from Libby or Hoopla with a public library membership.
